PC industry members who formed a standard known as secure boot’s aim was to ensure that only trusted software is used to start your PC. Here are the preparation checklist that you should refer before enable secure boot is as follows:
1. Secure Boot should be enabled right before an operating system is to be installed.
2. Secure Boot needs current implementation of UEFI
3. Secure Boot works only on Windows 8.0 or above.
4. In order to turn on those needed system firmware options it is required to set system password on some of the devices
